    contour dual elec fans

Have the chance to get a complete 98 contour that the guy just wants to get rid of. 50 bucks for the whole car, and it's like two blocks away from my house. needs a timing belt so i could likely push it home (or coast it home since it's downhill to my place)

I see a metric fuckton of people on corral using the dual electric fans that can be found on Contours....I was thinking about trying to find the fan and the car just popped up on kijiji

anyone know if they all had the dual fans, or what the deal was? this isn't going to be an issue of getting it to run, but an issue of getting it to mount properly.

    What say you all?

I'd take the fan and leave the rest of the car. Most vehicles that need "just a timing belt" also need a head since the majority of the time when the belt breaks, the valves crash into the pistons and fuck things up badly.

I'd pull the fan and light it on fire or something. Waiting to hear if it has the dual fans, he hasn't replies yet

IIRC, 4-banger cars got single fans, V6 cars got dual fans.

Might also consider snatching any underhood fuse panel it might have. Dunno if the Contour panel is much, but if there is one at all, it's an improvement over stock Box equipment.
