Hey guys, I've been working on my Marquis trying to fix it up here and there, and I absolutely love it. The problem is that I notice the window motors in these cars don't last very long, and it's very irritating. My dad and brother had 87s and they had the exact same problem. I've replaced my motor 3 times in the past year, and it went out on me again three days ago. I don't have the time to fix it because I'm a student and have to get places, but I've been driving around with an open window in the rain for the past three days. Is there a brand of motors I should buy for the window, or is it just something I'll have to live with, HELP!!

that sucks! did you replace the whole motor or just gears?? Ive heard that all aftermarket motors for our cars suck, and this is a pert worth buying from ford. or at least one that has a good warranty - they arent that hard to replace yourself!Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

Shite, that sucks. I Don't think I"ve ever had to change my motors... 19 years old. Seems like some gears were replaced once, on a front window.
ANd I have a spare for each window, from a free donor car.
IF you can get your hands on free/cheap parts that are original (and working), GET THEM!

i've noticed that the aftermarket rebuilt window motors really suck........i've made it a policy at the shop to only use factory new or rebuilt motors.........last motor i bought from ford was around 105 bucks
