What make is the new compressor ? Is it a different/improved design, or basically a stock replacement style?

My GPD compressor failed after two years. The bearings went to hell. This is the first time I'd ever heard of them beyond the GPD sticker on the back of my compressor. It was the one the shop put in for me.91 Mercury CP, Lopo 302, AOD, 3.08LSD. 3g upgrade, Moog wagon coils up front, cc819s in the back. KYB GR-2 police shocks. Energy suspension control arm bushings.
