Maybe hooking up a relay is rocket science and they want a bank of switches making their Crown Vic look like a race car?

In my case, I'd have had stuff done lots faster if I hadn't insisted on wiring things through my Windstar fuse box.

Speaking of the Compressor Works switch, does your fan cycle a couple of times after the car is shut off? I assumed it would just run for a few minutes and shut off entirely, but mine tends usually to cycle back on again once or twice, presumably due to hot coolant shifting around inside the core.

No, mine is run thru the key in the fuse box inside the car. I don't remember what fuse I used off the top of my head. I had it setup right from the battery at first and it would cycle back on again like you said after I shut down the car.

I might consider doing the same. I thought it convenient at first to wire it this way, as the switch circuit gets its juice right there from the underhood fuse box - only one wire required. But I am coming to the conclusion that this setup is better suited to the fancy controllers that actually ramp the speed down and then shut it off completely.

Sounds right to me. Ya don't need the fan running after you shut down the car.

Does anyone know what Temp a 85 throttle body 302 is supposed to be?I recently installed a Harbor Freight Nitrous Brand Water Temp gauge in my Merc and the temp seems be around 175 to 185 degrees, even when I'm pulling a trailer!I was wondering if the gauge was accurate??My 88 Country squire has a 302 With a sunpro temp gauge i put in,and it runs between 180 and 210 degrees.

Has anyone here ever used Harbor Freight Nitrous Brand gauges?

No, haven't use a Harbor Freight one. I think the 85's run at 185 deg. The 88 should have a 195 deg. Of course I have been wrong before.

What thermostat are you running? If you're using a 180, a temp reading of 180-185 degrees should be about right.

If in doubt of the accuracy of the gauge, swap gauges and see if the other one reads the same.

I replaced the thermostat about 4 years ago with one from auto zone.I'm not sure what temp the thermostat is.I would think it's a 180 degree thermostat.
If it is,then the temp gauge is probably accurate.
