This is my guess. Shit I could just test for continuity on LED bulbs with my cheapie mutimeter and the bulbs will light.

Headlight switch was the issue. It was clear once I got the switch out that the contact point was bad. Suppose I could have just lived with it, but I like all things to be fully functional in my cars. New BorgWarner switch set me back $65.

Autolamp switch? The non-dim ones are like 30 bucks for Motorcraft last I had to buy one. Autolamp is more expensive. Digital dash Towncar with autolamp and autodim was like 200 bucks when I bought my non-anything switch.

Yes, this car has autolamp. Could I have run a non-autolamp switch? I never use that feature, anyway.

yeah, you'll just have one extra plug hanging there. I seem to remember it being the round 3 wire one. Soctt's 89 Vic had a standard switch in it for a long time until I swapped it back to an autolamp switch out of a parts car.
