in normal operating cond. what should the high/low pressure read on my guages. thanks.

Depends on outside temperature. . What year car do you have, and what refrigerant are you using? The factory service manuals have pressure to temperature charts, but its different depending what AC system you have and what refrigerant you're using. I can give you R12 pressure charts but that may not help you.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

You're refilling with R12 then?
