Leaking gas Tank - 84 CV
Here's one for yall. Recently discovered a leak on my gas tank. Siphoned half a tank to reduce weight and recover some fuel (full tank of 89 when discovered). It not a bed leak but it dripping. Leaking on the bottom on the edge point to front of car. Looks like under the metal support strap. Will fix with some tank sealant this week. Has anyone else experience a leak due to the straps or similar location?

yea lots....they rot out under the straps all the time.....just replace the tank, new ones are around 100 bucks

Thanks for the info, was going to do a temp repair until i start the engine swap. Will try and replace it then since i have to set the fuel system up for low pressure for a carb.

Did the quick repair on the tank today. Used the gas tank putty from oreilly. Leak was not under the strap like first suspected but, about two inches from it on the bottom. Wasnt very big, but had a steady stream after scraping the undercoating away from it. Will put gas in it tomorrow and check for leaks
