    door chime after gauge removal!! - 89 GMQ

    ok i pulled the gauge cluster out and threw some LEDS in (looks great btw!)

    now when i put the key in, even after starting the car the door chime stays on as im driving, and the low fuel light stays on

    ok the fuel light works normal now, idk what that was

    and the door chime issue is that i mush have messed the button up on the drivers side door when i stuck a boot in there to depress the button so it would STZFU while i was working. when i close the door now it no longer depresses the button enought to turn it off but if i press it down with my finger its cool

    pull it out and twist the switch housing part so it moves back out of the mounting flange portion some. You probably pushed it in too far with the boot lol

      led's dont work well for the idiot lights and the low fuel light.....they dont draw enough current

      1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

          This is especially true for the battery light, since there's always a small current going through the battery light. What will happen is that the battery light will be on all the time.

                  I heard about that! I never tried putting current through it with the bulb out because it would be just my luck that it would beep and never stop. I replace that 194 every time I have the cluster apart for whatever reason just because. Where does the beeping come from, a chime hidden somewhere or..?
