Maybe someone has done this, but ... I got the idea after seeing a whale with the rear amber signal lenses. It would be interesting to wire up a Box CV to have the signal lights in the reverse lenses rather than the reds as signals. Could use amber bulbs in the clear lenses. Reds would stay "lights on" and "brakes". Would have to add some sort of reverse lights to the car. Something much brighter and more effective than stock reverse lights could be tucked just under the bumper. Just an idea.

You could add amber bulbs to the reverse light housing. there should be room, then just the matter of dealing with the brake lights, not sure how the harness is on the vics as far as the brake lights also being the directionals."Shakedown"- 1991 Grand Marquis GS Dual exhaust, Magnaflow xl turbos, Rear anti sway bar, Outlaw 1 wheels, 43k miles

you could leave the backup light bulbs in place and add another set of bulbs, so the backup lights would act as backup lights and turn signals. The likelihood of the backups and turns being on at the same time is going to be rare and you wont have to worry about mounting separate lights. You will have to somehow rewire the rear turn signals so they no longer illuminate with the brakes.2002 Mercury Grand Marquis GS 4.6L V8, 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis GS 5.0L V8, 1979 Lincoln Mark V 6.6L V8, 1977 Lincoln Continental 7.5L V8, 1999 Chevrolet Suburban LT 5.7L V8
