    Power Seat Forward Function

My 1999 power seat has stopped moving forward. The car has been sitting unsed for a while now. All other functions work as they should, but when I try forward it sorta gives a jump but don't really move. Like it's stuck. Could it just need some grease and encouragement? Or would one of the little motors be busted? If that was the problem, how big a deal is it to put in a replacement? From what years can I swap one? Is it necessary to replace the entire track setup?

    Thanks

It sounds like something is jammed in the track, keeping it from going in that direction. Does it go backwards?

No, but I think it's as far back as it can go already. Tall people...

If the lights dim a bit and/or it seems to move a smidge, I'd also agree its got something jammed in there. Might have to fish under the seat, or just unbolt the whole seat and have a good look at it to see whats wrong.
