My 1986 Grand Marquis is leaking coolant. Not much (for now), but where it's leaking is odd.
I believe it's the heater core, but it's not leaking inside the car. It's leaking around the Receiver Dryer (A/C) lower pipe coming out of the firewall into the engine compartment.
My repair book leads me to believe (it's vague, thanks Chilton ) I should replace it through the engine side of the firewall and not the inside. All my past cars/trucks/station wagons, I replaced it from inside the car.
Do I replace the heater core through the engine side or dashboard side of the firewall?
