Hi guys, me again, with another problem. It seems Vicky has developed another problem with her. I filled her tank today, and the damn gauge only went up to half a tank. So the only thing I can think of is the sending unit in the tank has crapped the bed. Do I have to drop the tank to service the sending unit? And where would be the best place to get one?

I got my sending unit from teamfordparts.com and to install it you do NOT need to drop the tank, matter of fact, it only takes like 15 minutes.-2004 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor - Daily Driver - 17" Bullitt's, 235/55/17 Goodyear Eagles, Ex-NH State Police, best 1/4 mile time; 15.3 @ 90 mph

You want the tank less than 1/2 full, the emptier the better. The access plate is on the front of the tank, just above the rear. Have a look in there and you'll get a better idea of how far down the fuel level needs to be.
