I figure that ghetto job with the speakers in the doors might have managed to make something get caught because of the loose negative wire (Just fixed my speaker problem and window problem, because it was the same problem.) Thank you, and goodnight.
If you like your windows working I would definetely replace the motor. Also, if you choose not to right away, make sure that you don't put the window down all the way. That is unless you like to have plastic bags over your door. And if it does get stuck, slam the door, that normally unsticks them.

Brushes are getting worn in the motor. if you're of the dissecting type, you can probably pull the motor apart, polish the commutator and wipe off the brushes to get some more life out of it. If you have a source for brushes, a new set will probably fix it up for a long time. if you buy a new motor, don't buy them on ebay. The ones you can find for cheap are total trash. Last set I had my hands on I actually took apart and used them for parts to rebuild original motors.

You can get new motors from most parts stores. Fox motors are probably compatible. Ford has been using the same window motor design since the 60s, though there are at least 4 that I'm aware of. Towncars have 4 different motors, four door Vics have 2 different motors, both of which are used in a Townie's rear doors. Last motor I had in my hand out of a 91 Mark VII had a D3 part number on the motor, and a C5 on the gearcase. The brandy new motors are a lot smaller though, and I'm told they actually hold up better. I think 91 Vics came with the little motor too, and probably most other things starting from the early 90s.

If i give everyone a picture of a fox motor i have lying around will you be able to say if it would be compatible or not? Because i can get a set of motors with a set of door panel clips for 70 bucks. That may be steep but that all i know of.

two motors for 70 bucks? Thats a good price if they're not the really shitty eBay China specials. You could look up the car they're supposed to fit at napa or whatever and get the part number, then look up your car and see if its the same number.

something was not right there. I meant to say 70 dollars a motor or a kit including all the essentials for 139.99. For some reason i remember my father only paying 70 for that kit.

Ah, I priced them last night around 60 bucks each from autozone, so that might be a better option for you.

Well, my main issue now is that the back windows wont move, grinding noise. Ive heard that its the bushing issue from quite a few people with similar makes. Im thinking since ford just left the spot for the cranks, ill just go with those. I priced 'em at a junkyard (the guy tested them, and they work apparently(my uncle was the one who checked it out)) for 54 bucks a piece. Not too expensive, but ill be damned if I'm going to wait for the motor to break again. I've about had it with this car... Theres a nice Caddy for 2 grand sitting in an old folks driveway that they want to get rid of. Its pimpin time...
