Need Help Finding a few wires...

I just put a car alarm in my LTD a few weeks ago. I need to find the wire for the parking lamps/head lights and the wire for the horn. I got dome light supervision and shock sensor enabled and that's about it right now with my alarm.

I turned on lights and went through a ton of wires with my multimeter trying to find 12v w/ lights on.

my dad says go to bulldog securities website, find your year and make and it'll give you all wires, colors, and location of all wires needed for and alarm. even remote start.

Id just locate them under the hood (at the horn and the light) and follow the wires back as close to the alarm unit as you can.

You really need an EVTM, those connections moved from year to year.

Bulldog's site only goes to like 1985 or 87 somewhere in that range. So far i installed the alarm w/o dissembling anything but the drivers side kick panel. I have power lock kit coming in the mail this week .
Remote start and carb would be tough, I read people using a solenoid and a cable set-up to pump gas pedal.

Pretty sure your car has a little oblong plug near the washer reservoir with about eight pins in it, in place of the distinctive round plug used on later models. On my '81 it's gray, has seven pins (one space not used), and lives right next to the voltage regulator. Once you find the plug and unplug it, it's simple to probe for what gets voltage under what conditions. Horn wires are blue, and I'm pretty sure the brown is parking lamps and red/black is lowbeams. I think it's the green/black that's for the high beams, and the green/white and white/green are turn signals. Don't remember offhand what the black/white wires are on this car. Either way, it's very easy to test once you find the plug and start probing in it with either a test light or 12V test lead.

On later cars, the alternator field coil wire goes through the headlight plug, and the horn circuit has a relay just upstream of the plug.
