    My thoughts exactly mang! They could have fubared the wiring when the pulled the headliner down.

      that's the one thing i was hoping it wouldn't be, 1st I'm going to try changing the connectors, because they are designed in a way for the contact screw to NOT touch the metal. i think thats what happening to me, especially on that green wire...and definitely try a smaller fuse..i guess i will look at a few GMs in the JY to see what's the best fuse to use since i don't have a manual or cant find a diagram of the fuse panel anywhere...

        green wire is for the map lights. The blue wire with the black stripe is for the dome light.

          probe your wires to see whats what and make sure they are going to the wrong screw holes - they probably just put them back on the wrong ones... Im sure you can figure it out

            ok so I went to the JY, tore up the head liners on the ONLY 2 GMs like mine they had,it woulda been real hard to screw up the wires when they re-did my vinyl top cuz they are wrapped up pretty good.. I AM running the wires to the correct spot, the fuse is supposed to be a 15(I confirmed it with my owners manual that I DID have after all)..so I will try to re-do this sometime this week..keep ya'll posted.
