    minor problem with turn signal

all of my tail lights work, but when my turn signal is on, one of those lights doesn't work. i know the bulb is fine since it works when everythings lit up, but it won't flash. is this a blown fuse? is the fuse box in the kick panel? i hope not because its cold as hell here right now and i dont want to dig around in there.

If it's just one bulb, check for a problem with the socket, or one of the wires at the socket, or even something weird like the bulb being inserted 180 degrees off (surprisingly easy to do sometimes).

Does the front bulb on that side flash? Is the front bulb good? If one of the bulbs is out, its possible the flasher just won't flash. They work on current draw to heat up and break the circuit open, just like a christmas light flasher bulb. If there isn't enough current, the circuit won't break open and you're left with a bright glowing bulb.

If the light is lit but it's not flashing, it's more than likely the bulbs flasher has blown. Does the light on the instrument panel stay lit too?

Common flasher for left and right, so if it works one way the flasher is OK. Hazard flasher is separate tho.

a typical type bulb that works as driving and signal has 2 filaments. if the signal filament is bad, it wont flash but the driving portion having a separate filament will light up for driving and vice versa. make sure our bulbs that have double filaments for signaling all work. as you stated, only 1 bulb on the one side flashes whereas the otherside they both flash. change the bulb that doesnt flash.

hm well went out to check the bulb/take it out and get a new one, tested it one last time and it worked... its above freezing here for the first time in a long time i dont know how that would affect it, but my electronic trunk opens up again and the light works. the blinker stays stuck still so i have to move the blinker handle manually still.. i wonder if thats a fuse

the turn signal switch not releasing is the switch being bad and not releasing when it should... the turn signal switch is easy enough to replace if needed... in picture below you see the switches... there is foam covering 2 torx screws, remove them and unclip wiring and replace.

blue is where the screws are, yellow is the plug wiring, and red is the outline of the signal controller...

this used to happen to my car once in a while, after replacing countless bulbs like an ass,i sprayed some electric parts cleaner in the socket and it went away, might be just a shitty connection. You can tell if you put the bulb in and it doesnt work, but it does work if you pull it out a tiny bit.
