Tripminder Troubles

Ok, thought it would be plug and play. Which is was. But, it's not getting any reading from the speed sensor, or at least I think so, cause it tells me how much fuel I've used (fuel flow). My cruise control has not been working recently. Thought I'd throw that out there since they both use that sensor.
I get no trip odometer, MPGs or anything. It just stays at 0.

I already did that. I get readings from the fuel flow wire.

I mean where does the tripminder harness make the connection into the cars harness?
You mentioned that you wired in some connectors earlier... could be a connection problem.
Id also check the plug for the sensor at the transmission if you haven't already, maybe it came loose.

Like right at the harness, I spliced those connectors in, little did I know I didn't need to do that. I double checked those damn connections. They were tight.

sounds like a speed sensor problem since the cruise doesn't work either.

I'm gonna recheck the wiring, I'm gonna solder them to make sure that I have eliminated any other possible problems.

No it was a little while before. Around the time where I messed with the wiring...

I took the wires out and I soldered them, perfecto, both the cruise and the tripminder work. Thanks mangs!

Those buttons are so damn hard to change lol. I would push the economy button twice to view my average fuel economy right?

touch it once, you get average fuel econ, tap it again for instant. It says avg or In to tell you what mode its in. They shouldn't be difficult to press. If they are, the tripminder probably needs to be pulled apart and the button contacts cleaned.
