    Mine wasn't bad; got 18 MPG at one time. About 125K miles it started acting the fool though, so it was ditched it for the 4bbl.

      They still used the VV in the 1990 model year? I thought they went to a conventional 2 barrel. Guess you learn something new everyday.

        Yessum. Mine was a good unit until it started to cause problems with fuel consumption; it was always smooth though; just used to load up a little when it was cold.

          1991 was the last year for the VV. It was on there for emissions reasons. I think the Canadians got a regular 2bbl on the 351 though.

            on a side note i almost got a 1986 ex popo crown vic with one of those carbs but it ran like shit, black smoke and everything, it was only 600 bux cash, but i figured it wasn't worth the hassle. but then again this was about 12 years ago and i needed something that didn't need a 1400 dollar carb, hehe
