    Cigarette Lighters in Rear Doors don't work

    The 2 lighters in me vic back doors dont' work, any ideas? Maybe a wire took a shit, or a connector not placed good or what?

    could be any number of things. did they work before, and suddenly quit? or have they always not worked?
    Have you tried popping the panels out and checking the wires? Id guess they have been de-activated for police use.

        Its not that I smoke IN the car (The cars never been smoked in as far as the prev. owner an I are concerned) its just that I want everything to be functional.....thanks all

              Pete's suggestion is actually pretty good. I wouldn't be surprised if they had been unplugged as part of the door disabling or re-enabling process. I actually use one of my rear lighters to charge my phone. Just hide the lighters to make people not inclined to use them. Also, if you have kids riding in the back, make sure they know that any coins stuck in the lighter socket will result in death.

                My P72 came with these disabled as well. I've never had the rear door panels off to see where the interruption in power is, but agree these would be nice for power points, especially if there are rear passengers.
