I am looking at swapping an interior from a 97 Gm Ls to a 96 Gm Gs. The 97 is loaded with options and the 96 is plain. Is the wiring harness different between the two or is it just the modules and switches added into the system. My wife wants her digital dash and keyless entry from her 97.

I think they usually use the same harnesses for all vehicles and for a car with less options those plugs are simply unused. I am not certain though..Give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will promptly forget that he once did not know, and proceed to call anyone who asks, a n00b and flame them on the boards for being stupid.

what options exactly? keyless entry probably has an additional harness you'd need to install, but most of the rest ought to be there. Power passenger seat usually has a plug already under the carpet. Most of the rest is similar. Not sure about autolamps, probably also requires an additional harness for the sensor and relays.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

seats are simple, rear maps should be easy enough, the rest, well, all I will say, make sure you have an EVTM for that car. You will need it.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
