yea im bringing this back up cause my problem hasnt gotten better. ive made sure the blend door moves and is all the way over which it is
both coolant hoses feel the same temp
if the car idles for a bit after ive driven it the heat feels stronger the rest of hte time i drive it sometimes

but yea the basic senerio is that on max ac it feels like i got the heat on a cooler setting and when its on any other setting that uses outside air it feels colder and during the winter just feels like cold air and yea the outside temp will change out it feels.

i am leaning towards a bad heater core but im also wondering if hte blend door has a problem too which id find out by pulling the air box. i have flushed it and let it drain with a garden hose/ coolant flush liquid and ran the hose both way to tr and free stuff up. i guess i can try it again too

another thing ill add is that i do have the plugs for atc. if i look up my car at work ithe computer makes it seem like atc would come standard on the car. so now im almost wondering if it shouldve had atc but it was removed or it just has the plugs cause then ford can make one wiring harness. guess i can have ford run the vin and find out that way

so today i took the hoses coming off of the engine going to the heater core and cleaned out the coolant in the heater core with the garden hose and put CLR in it and with the hoses held up i let it sit for an hour or so. flushed it with the garden hose and the stuff looked pretty brown ( it was dark and i had a drop light) from what i could see. flushed it both ways to be sure. filled it back up with coolant and drove the car. it felt pretty good too. got home and parked in my driveway which has a slope and let it idle for like five minutes or so and then the thing put out like amazing heat. my thermostat seemed to open up more (been funky lately) and yea i guess the stuff worked. tomorrow ill top it off and see how it is. its 30's tonight too so it looks like its a good sign.

Well at least after two years you finally got the problem figured out lol. I don't think I could deal with not having any heat in the car for that long. How is the heat now that you topped off the fluid?
