socket and a short extension should do it. They're pretty accessible. Whats the issue exactly, bolt stuck, or can't get in there to it? What tools are you using ?

Don't give up man, we're feeling your frustration .....

Which bolt is it that you can't get to? I went and took a couple quick shots of one of my fuel pumps. The rear bolt is pretty easy to get to from above (first picture); the front bolt is accessible from underneath (second picture) but may require more careful selection of the right-length socket extension. A 1/4" drive ratchet (or small-body 3/8" if you're fancy) will probably be better than a regular 3/8" ratchet for maximizing clearance. Wobble extensions are also extremely handy.

(for position reference, in each picture the bolt is noted with a yellow arrow, the power-steering bracket with a red one, and the fuel line on the outlet side of the pump with a green arrow)

Here, see if these pics help .... I went and threw a wrench on the forward bolt on my fuel pump. The business end isn't quite visible in any of the shots, but the arrows point toward where the socket is engaged on the bolt head. And yeah, while I can't actually see the bolt with the wrench on it, there's definitely a enough room to turn the ratchet back and forth a few degrees, which is all that's needed. The final pic is today's weapon of choice - basically, what I happened to lay hands on quickly: a regular 3/8" ratchet with a cheap 3" extension and shallow socket (7/16" in my case; yours will probably be 1/2" if not 9/16").

                      Good luck!

Basic combination is pretty simple: four-barrel carb and intake, Mustang GT-spec (or better) cam and heads, and dual exhaust. Someone - I think it's Mercracer - has a set of superior GT-40P heads for sale for a decent price - those are about the best heads used on production 302s, followed by the regular GT-40 iron head and then the E7TE Mustang head. You might also think about the excellent cam/carb/intake packages from Edelbrock; their regular Performer kit is good to 5500 rpm and will build power while retaining daily drivability (important since our trannies shift at 4000rpm stock). torquelover has the Performer package on his 351 and has been pretty happy with it ... and when I drove his car, it went quickly to 105mph while feeling like 70, so I'm convinced!
