    Alternator Wiring Question

Does anyone know if the wiring on late 80's Boxes if different from the standard 65 Amp alternators to the Canadian boxes that had the heated windshields and 100 Amp alternators?

The wiring harness that plugs onto the alternators are different because of the external regulator on the 100 amp version. WagonMan

65 amp is gen 2 internal regulator... the 100 amp is gen 1 external regulator. They can be modified, to work, but the heated windshield only works with the gen 1 setup due to bypassing the regulator for windshield heat.
