    89 TC Bright Headlights

    Hey mangs!
I know this topic has been discussed before but I couldn't find the thread.

Looking to fix the bright headlights on my 89 TC as they will not stay on..
I believe this is an issue with the electric eye mounted to the rearview mirror?

Car has H4 style LED's in glass autopal housings with stock wiring.

if the auto dim sensor is ailing it does this. Unplug it and jumper the two outside pins together. It should work as normal manual high beams at that point if its a sensor fault.

one thing I always thought was stupid about this design vs what the Mark VII got, on the Panther it doesn't ever shut off auto dim, it just turns it down all the way and requires the sensor to complete the circuit. The Fox cars actually shut it off, and you can unplug the sensor and still have high beams.

Jumped the the two outside pins with a paper clip and boom! I have functional bights.. Was pretty easy to do seeing how my review mirror decided to fall off the window during the week.
