on my old valve covers on the drivers side i had a bracket with some vacuum lines to it from the thermouse stat housing, the bracket had a wire running to it, anyway when i was working on the car this weekend the lines all snaped and my new valve covers dont have the mouting bracket for it so i got rid of them and plugged them off at the thermous stat, it dident seem to have any effect oh how the car runs, dose anyone know what that component might be?

Maybe something for the EGR valve, or for the flapper valve in the exhaust manifold.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
