If you are going to source parts, a new source has arrisen. The 04up 5.4L F series were equiped with a 4R75W. All parts are the samish...IE they will transfer just like a 4R70W, but the 75 means 50ft*lbs more torque rating. A stronger planetary is basicaly it.

Hmm. Although I want to get teh kit for ease of install, and cost. It's gonna cost more to get the thing built if Brian has got to do a bunch of serching and running around to get it built. And I'm not building a monster, so I'm not really that worried about any more strength. If I couldn't blow the planetary out of the 87 in the milage (and abuse) I put on it, I'm not worried about it.Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons
