Does this mean my 87 Grand Marquis LS has an airbag suspension or just that it went through extensive engineering to have a smooth, soft ride? What were the features my suspension that makes it different from a standard sedan, wagon, or coupe?

All Grand Marquis' have that on the dash from '79-'87. It even goes back to the '70s I believe. Just means they're engineered for a great ride me thinks.'89 Ford LTD Crown Vic - '92 Ford F-150 Custom -

Said engineering involves no real changes from the Ford or Town Car either. My friend's Skylark features "DynaRide". Marketing slogans are great.
Back to the answer, no panther got fully qualified air suspension till the 90s. The 1990 and newer Town Car had it, and its optional on newer Vic and GM. 80s Townies had an optional auto-level air shock system in the back. Not sure if that was ever an option on the GM but I doubt it.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Were they auto-level with a compressor or did it just have a fitting like aftermarket ones?86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
