90-91 mgm/cv1990 MGM: $50 E7 heads, HO cam, Holley SysteMAX lower intake, HO upper intake with an Explorer TB. LSC ECM. Lincoln logs into stock dual exhaust. K&N drop in air filter. Wide ratio AOD, 2400 converter with a 3.08 one tire fire out back. Car is less slow now. Then there's the '92 Beater. Dual 2.25" exhaust with shiny tips. Rumbles nice. Super slow. Burns oil too.

My '90 came with an aluminum shaft, as did another '90 in a local boneyard. My bastard '92 has a nice rusty steel shaft with that weird balancer looking gizmo on the front.1990 MGM: $50 E7 heads, HO cam, Holley SysteMAX lower intake, HO upper intake with an Explorer TB. Probably no rhyme or reason to them.2020 F250 - 7.3 4x4 CCSB STX 3.55's - BAKFlip MX4

I used a 90's police interceptor's aluminum driveshaft (i think it was a 98) and my original driveshafts yoke and flange, you might need a conversion u-joint if you go that route, I didn't because mine already had bigger u-joints, presumably because mine was a police car.
This option will make it a lot easier to find a shaft, but you do have to change the yoke and flanges, which is honestly not a big deal if you're already swapping shafts.-Phil

I'll have to double check if my 90 GM has the aluminum shaft. Mine is a late model year car (manufacture date of March, 1990) and has things like the mini-starter.—John
