Best wheel options to replace out of round wheels.

Hey guys. My 1986 vic has out of round wheels. Which isn't surprising after 30 years of mn pothole driving, and being parked in a field..

What are some decently priced wheel options. I got new tires on the current rims 15 inch is the rim size I would need to keep my new tires. Dream would be a set of four 15x7 keystone klassics. Issue is I hardly see those in 15x7... And they're never cheap usually.

What other options do you lot recommend?

Pretty much whatever suits yiur fancy and you can afford it. Lots of options available, from cheap "wagon" style steelies to forged aluminum pieces at several times the cost. Salvage yards are always the cheapest bet if you want aluminum tho, if you got a good one near you it may be worth paying them a visit, you never know what you may find (for example Rangers and Explorers had some nice 15" alu options that fit Crown Vics).

I had these Z Racing 15X7 ones on my '91 MGM. They looked good and you could run a little bit fatter tire on it too. This type of wheel should fit your '86 as well.Click image for larger version

+1 on turbines... gotta find them first. Boxes look good with turbines.

I wouldn't put 15" wheels on things anymore. Less tire selection, worse handling, and no possibility of better brakes. Factory wheels from 1998-2002 are all 16" and fit perfectly.

While I agree he did say he already has new 15" tires.

Turbines. Big brakes and stopping power are over rated anyway.
1990 MGM: $50 E7 heads, HO cam, Holley SysteMAX lower intake, HO upper intake with an Explorer TB. LSC ECM. Lincoln logs into stock dual exhaust. K&N drop in air filter. Wide ratio AOD, 2400 converter with a 3.08 one tire fire out back. Car is less slow now. Then there's the '92 Beater. Dual 2.25" exhaust with shiny tips. Rumbles nice. Super slow. Burns oil too.

And the tire makers have new 16" tires

Stopping power is grossly under-rated, and its something that is grossly under-represented on these cars in stock form anyway.

if you like keystones get keystones man. Try swap meets that are local. They are always full of wheels - and
Keystones are pretty common finds for the $200 price range for a decent set. You can find less than perfect ten footer wheels for $100 set easy. I had cragar SS wheels on my '82 and loved them at the time.

Car show season is coming up soon. I may drop a request or too amongst the car club guys. Maybe somebody has a set in a shed. I hope I can find a nice set. I am only finding 14 inchers and I really would like to keep my new tires.

You should be able to turn up a set of 15" ford rims of some flavor. Helps that you are not after a single style. Car club will probably come through with something, but keep an eye on craigslist. If you want plain steel rims, you'll probably find somebody trying to unload a set of rims with nearly worn out snow tires for a good price.
