    Moog stock number?

Does anyone have the Moog stock number for the 1991 P-72 front springs? Can't find the stock number anywhere... All of the parts catalogs on line don't list them anymore... I think the front springs that got installed in my car are the wrong springs. We installed the wagon springs, and instead of sitting higher, it is sitting about an inch lower. Also hit a dip the other day, and the front end bottomed out, hitting the rubber snubbers up front.... BAD... NOT supposed to do that! I think someone at the factory put the wrong springs in the box. Even the non police car springs would NOT bottom out! And would sit higher than these are.... Going to the shop in a second to see what can be done... The parts place may be paying to have them changed out... I'm NOT going to!

So if anyone has the actual part number let me know... Thanks in advance....

The springs listed in the suspension sticky are the only ones available. You probably did recieve what the part book calls out for for your specific car.

Only thing is, Moog discontinued the good stuff. Ain't like the old days where they actually had an entry for taxi/police/HD/towing, straight rate and variable rate. Now its generic stock front spring for all models. And you only get two choices for the rear, and now, might only be the variable rate rear spring listed like on the aero and whales. Choice only comes from looking at other cars, such as sedan or wagon variable rate rear spring.

I'm afraid you got what is still available from Moog. If you want stiff front, you'll need to buy the 90010 (double check that number) 1998 front police spring (and you'll probably want to cut half a coil right from the beginning, but don't take my word on that, everybody has their preferences).

I grabbed a set of straight rate rear springs out of the autowreckers to have a spare rear set given the dismal aftermarket offerings. I hate variable rate. Useless unless you drive with an empty trunk, variable rate ends up with saggy ass right out of the box. Beefing up the rear on the box will need air springs, and even with that I would pitch the variable rate and grab a set of straight rate springs from a late model panther in the wreckers, cvpi prefered.

On the 091's they were notorious for sagging on the rear end, especially the police cars, since they carried a lot of weight in the trunk... (Police Equipment) I went with wagon springs in the rear about 10 years ago... (Doesn't seem that long!) It brought it up about 1 1/2 inches perfect, because when I put all my police equipment in the trunk, it has a slight rake to the car....

I found out when I went over to the shop, that his look up on the computer shows the front Wagon springs (Which we ended up going with since we couldn't find a Police car listing... ) Anyway, we looked the two listed, and come to find out for some reason, the wagon springs are about an inch SHORTER... Part of the problem! So we may just put the rubber spacers in (the type that look like a rubber donut)
