    Front wheeel bearings

I have 18K miles on the front bearings since repack.
Is this too long, and should I remove and repack ASAP??

    Thanks

Usually would do a repack when doing brakes. Generally no reason to do it more often.

Unless you are hearing any unusual sounds from the front wheel area, or the bearing hub is extremely hot to the touch after driving.

What grease do you guys use?

I just finished changing my front bearings and used whatever Valvoline grease was marked for front wheel bearings with disc brakes. It was a gray charcoal color grease. Not the red stuff I've used in the past. (Never had problems with the red stuff, just didn't remember what it was b/c before that it's been a while since I refilled my grease gun. )

I haven't used it yet but I picked up a grease gun tube of Lucas red grease at Menard's the other day.
