Was just driving on the expressway to work and noticed the front end swaying side to side on decell and if I move the wheel side to side quickly it does it.. The car is an 89 TC and the entire front end is fresh although it does need an alignment but has been fine for months... Any ideas?

sounds like something came loose. Give it a good looking over. Maybe a sway bar endlink broke or something. Check to make sure one of the shocks didn't strip its bolts out too. They like to do that and end up poking down through the control arm at the bottom.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Do you have the original steering box? If everything is still tight, this may be the next area to look at.

Thanks For the input guys.. Put her up on the lift and found out nothing was wrong with the front end but the Rear D/S tire was ready to come off.. Thank God I didnt break any studs. Zipped the tire back on and shes good as new.. Just wondering how it came loose?!?!Comment

I've had a rear tire come off twice now, both times from not being torqued properly. Kind of a bitch when it does, cars do not drive well on 3 wheels. It also tends to smash things up.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Thats Horrible man. And yea I can imagine the damage it would cause... Me and my buddy were on the expressway when we felt it. Pretty damn lucky it didnt exit stage left at highway speed. My wheels are always given a once over after being gunned on so IDK.. Maybe somebody tried stealing em and gave up! LOL!Comment
