Is this a missing TV bushing? Engine knocks on hard acceleration after slowing down. Could this be the cause?

engine knock would be unrelated, but you area correct that there is no bushing on it. do tie that up securely in place before driving anywhere... and maybe you might be able to get the brass bushing for it. not sure if places will ship internationally, but look here and see.
edit: just checked... they don't ship to the east (middle or far), but that is what you're looking for.
now if the car is jerking at those points, yes, it could be related and the transmission may have suffered damage already.Last edited by sly; 04-15-2013, 10:42 AM.

Luckily I guess the transmission isn't damaged yet. The car cruises smoothly at 120 kmph on the 2 hour trip to town. All gear changes are smooth in town driving. Only occasionally I hear a knocking when accelerating fast. Hopefully I will be able to find a bushing in the local market. .
