If it is play in the box, sometimes you can take it up by tweaking the screw on top. Turn the wheel over about a full turn, loosen the locknut while holding the screw, then turn the screw in a bit till you feel some resistance. Should be less than a turn. Back off 1/4 turn from where you get resistance and lock the nut down again. See if the wheel is tighter without binding. If it binds, back the screw off another 1/4 turn.
