    followup 89tc no 3rd or 4th

so thanx to all for all the suggestions and help on the last thread i posted but i waz fed up with the hit and miss method and honestly costs to much frustration and money sooo i decided to take my 89 tc to my local tranny shop (cottman) and they tore into it took my pan off my tranny expecting to find alot of clutch maerial or metal shavings and nothing but clean tranny fluid !!!!!!!!!!! how odd the tech said as i gave out a sigh of a releif due to the fact i just put a new tanny in my tc... He gave it some thought and told me it was a STUCK GOVENOR!!!!! he said it got stuck due to the fact i didnt flush out the trannny cooler before the swap !! HE said its rare u find the problem like that before you destroy your tranny!!! so a couple hundred bucks in labor to pull the govoner out and cean it and he said i be rollin on the road by wed!! my question is if i dont hve it flushed out before he cleans the govenor and puts it back in wont i have the same problem again?????

I'd hope he'll realize that it needs to be flushed in order to fix the issue, though usually a stuck governer results in really late or really early shifts, depending which way it sticks.

. last car I drove with a flaky governer had WOT shifts at about 3200 rpm, very early. if it stuck the other way, I'd expect it to not shift out of first at all.
