That's good info there... I'll be looking for some new wheels for my Mark since 2 are bent (barrel bent... not impact bent... like it sat for a freakishly long time and the wheels just fatigued out a bit).

I've been told that the original American Torq-Thrust D's, Cragar SS and the Magnum 500's of the late 60's and early 70's fit just fine without spacers. And of course, whale police steelies.
The wheels that look like the original style American Torq-Thrust D's you see on late model Mustangs do require spacers.

Right. 8" wide, 4.5" backspace is supposed to be quite good. 8" wide, 3.75" backspace does squeeze in there but it's not quite right. Curiously, my experience is that the extra quarter-inch you stick out with 8.5" wide, 4" backspace, leads to rubbing on the fender lip even after tons of hammering and trimming.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

Wasn't Dave running 10" zero-offset wheels on the front at one point? I've seen him elsewhere lately, maybe I ought to ask him.
Incidentally, 10" wheels with 4" BS on the back of a wagon have no more rubbing trouble than the 8.5"/4"BS wheels on the front. Which is more than I'd prefer, but still.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!
