    rear springs

i finally broke down and bought new springs for the 87 merc , i'm looking at the rear springs and wonder if i can unbolt the lower part of the shock and jack the car up high enough and let the rear end hang if i can just pull or pry out the spring , i guess my question is how hard are they too change and is it something i can do on my driveway ? and are there any tricks or anything i need to do or should know about ?

Yes take the shocks loose, then have a buddy pressdown on the tire or stand on it, they springs will almost fall out/ can be easily pulled by hand.
