    rear brake line

can someone run me through the process of the rear brake line?? how many feet to get, what fittings/adapters i may need. also any problems or issues i may run into..

I did the ones over the rear axle but the main line popped when i was bleeding..

    thanks

i run the rear line in one piece just like factory, i buy brake line in spools of 25'

need some 3/16" flare fittings too.....may have to reuse the one on the prop valve or get an adaptor.

as far as tools, you need a mini tubing cutter and a double flare tool

soak the old fittings well........the one on the rear brake hose isnt too bad......the fitting on the prop valve is a royal pita!......need to have someone hold the prop valve with a big wrench, while you try to break the fitting free......i usually cut the line off the fitting and get the fitting with a socket for better grip.

my double flaring tool is cornwell brand......paid about 35 bucks for it, i've had it about 10 yrs......was tired of borrowing the boss's all the time.

otc is a good brand and you can get them at a reasonable price online........my metric bubble flare tool is otc brand, it works real well and got it online for around 25 shipped
