Tire Sizes

Does anybody make a 275 45R17 tire? I've seen 275 40R17 and 275 50R17, but nothing in between it seems. If I had a 17x9 wheel I would consider a 275 40R17, but it's only 25" of rubber. The latter choice is nearly 28" and it's a drag radial. Since I'm running two sets of wheels/tires for the summer and winter, I figure that I would get something street/competition that's made for dry/wet pavement.

why not run a 255/50/17 there 27'' tall
I have 255's on a 9'' wheels on my moms mustang and they fit just fine

I have 255 50R17 on the CV right now. I would like to get a wider wheel if possible. I wish the American Racing Wheel company made there Ansen A69 wheel in a 17x9 size, that way I could get something a little wider and slightly taller in the back.
