I use mcgard closed ended acorn style lug nuts for my wheels. Plenty of money for them but no rust.

I just went to the tire shop and told them I wanted lugs that would not chip, or rust. They seem to be holding pretty good, but they will not be so cheap. I have no idea what brand they are.

I have Cragar closed end lug nuts. They are holding up great! If the thread are rusting, put a dab of oil on the threads before you install the lugs to keep them from rusting.

I have McGard on all vehicles except the S-10. The first set of McGards on the CV rusted badly, so I bought a second set for the day when I actually get to painting the car.

A little cheaper on Summit Racing. About $40 before shipping.

I purchased two locking lug sets, that killed the budget.

Go to any shop specializing in tires and they should be able to hook you up. The shop I worked at (Superior Tire, local Toronto chain) was big on pushing the lug nuts, and they were expensive, but I pretty much never saw any rust. They didn't scratch easily either, even with very rushed air gun tightenings.

                              Good to know.

The Dormans I got rusted FAST . . and have pretty much crapped on my rims - hoping to get the rims cleaned up.

Email to Dorman said that they knew they had bad batch or two, and would send me new ones if I'd agree to send the old ones back.

I'm hoping that the new ones really are better in some way.

On the plus side, they apparently didn't send me the 16 I requested (I have a locking lug on each wheel, thus needing 16 instead of 20). Instead, they sent me 16 packs of 10.

Thankfully, they're not expecting me to return 160 lugnuts to them.
