The ebrake used to spring out when I put the car into drive but it doesnt spring up anymore. Easy fix?

The ebrake stopped springing back when

The vacuum collar that releases the brake when you move the selector to drive is probably broken... do you hear a hissing noise? They all go bad.
I dunno if you can find new ones, but junkyard ones are likely to be bad too. I just pulled one out of a low mileage car for the p72 *fingers crossed*Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

Im not sure if they physically crack open or if the seals wear out. I'll take pics when I swap mine but its pretty easy to ID.
Its a white plastic semi-circle thing with two vacuum hoses on it, attached to the end of the steering column, under the dash near the firewall. If you're lucky, the hose may have just popped off or is leaking.Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements
