chrome cover that clears 3.73's ?

got a chrome cover from summit for "any 8.8" and she didn't clear my 3.73s which doesn't surprise me now ...being a mr. gasket cover.

i'm looking at a chromed steel trandapt cover for 50 bucks, or a stainless kentrol cover for $100. the bank account is almost running on fumes so the cheeper the better, just wondering if you guys have had any experience with covers fitting around 3.73's.

I don't really see the point in getting a chrome one. Its going to be rusted in no time, and isn't really value added.

A diff girdle (cast aluminum, drain plug, and main cap support) would be a better choice. They are a little over $100, though.

Otherwise, go to the JY and get the aluminum stamped cover off a a whale body. Polish it, and it'll look like chrome. Clear it, and it won't oxidize. Then you don't have to worry about the rust.

Chrome parts are generally of very poor quality. I have one on my S10, but only because the stock steel one rotted out, and I just needed something to close it up. Chrome was the cheapest thing I could get. Its 3 years old now and rusted so bad you'd almost never know it was chrome.
