Well I got a GM but the covers on my turbines say Ford. What have you guys done to change this up? It almost looks like I can take the clear plastic part off or something. I thought about getting Mercury ones but can I change out the middle part or something? How about painting it? Has anybody done anything creative with em?

You can probably have a custom emblem made if you want. That clear plastic is just siliconed in so you can remove it if you must. Contact this place for details about new emblems: http://www.baldguydesigns.net/index....bum=Automotive~David~

my car starts and it has AC. Yours doesn't start and it has no AC. Seems obvious to me.

The center covers come off, and switch over with no problems. When you pull the caps off, you'll see 4 bolts that hold the emblems on. I did the same thing when I pulled the 'bines from my Crown Vic, and put them on my GM. I got mine from Wagonman. He's usually the best source for parts (at least for me), and his parts are good, and prices, with shipping VERY reasonable.

I bet at some point in the past, the centercaps got replaced with whatever was available at the time. Ford units in your case. Either that, or the car came with hubcaps and someone fitted a set of turbines from a Ford.
