Brake Pads question

Random question.

Can you see the difference between standard and ceramic pads? AKA a color or texture difference? A picture would be nice if anyone has one. Thanks!

Standard pads are dark in color almost like a black..where as cearmic pads ae a light grey...Texture is a little diffrent to....Ceramic pads feel very smooth..but standrd bads are a lil more gritty feeling....The biggest imporment with ceramic pads is hardly no brake dust....

The Hawks are the Cearmic ones and the motorcycle pads are the standard color...

Assuming "standard" is semi-metallic, right? Because there are also organic-based pads.
