    some n00b queries

My car is a 1990 CV P72. Nothing special, and as far as I know, the suspension is completely stock. I love the floaty feeling when cruising from driving such a big car but I would like to be able to take turns without needing to slow down so damn much.

Would going for slightly stiffer suspension in the front to facilitate what I want handling wise completely get rid of that floaty, roadfeel-void ride that I love? I would think it's a distinct possibility that my suspension is also 19 years old and is simply worn.

What do you think? I'm just learning about the inner workings of the engine bay, I know nothing of springs and shocks and whathaveyou, so I don't know if what I'm saying even makes sense.

I would also like the rear of the car to sit slightly higher than the front to give it a big of a rake. Nothing drastic but enough to be noticeable. What should I do there?

For a minor rake, replace the existing coils and struts in the rear. For a major rake, up-grade to variable rate wagon coils. I'm sure someone has already posted more info on this subject.

After some reading I'm also thinking that a rear PI swaybar would be a good idea. Who knows what years are the correct ones?

A cheap upgrade: KYB Gas-adjust shocks, get the Police-spec.

          Problem Solved.....mostly.
