    alignment after lowering

Ok, Ive searched, but have yet to find this-

Ive been looking into dropping the front of my 87 1" to level it out, and a bit of a rake. Id rather do this then raise the rear. I know the link in the sticky has a link to springs to get.

But when dropping, what is the limits of the stock suspension? I know with my mustang i had to get C/C plates with my drop, but i dont know about panthers. can somebody enlighten me?

Caster/camber plates are needed on modified Mustangs because the modified Mac strut design simply isn't very adjustable. Panthers use plain old double A arm suspension, which doesn't really require special parts to get aligned properly.

The easiest way to get your ~1" of drop? Lop a half-coil off the stock springs, then have your car aligned normally by someone who knows his job (not someone who goes 100% by his computer readouts). Unless you really want the increased rate of the recommended racing springs. Personally, I think even stock PI front springs are a tad stiff for the street.

Theres a pretty wide range of adjustment on the stock suspension. Mustang suspension quite frankly blows chunks when it comes to geometry. Panther stuff is far more flexible, and can tolerate a lot more ride height change without going stupid.

yeah, Im not gonna argue- the Fox suspension, even with the SN95 updating, still sucks.

I can almost get mine back in alignment sitting 3-4 inches higher than stock. Loads of adjustment. I think my PI springs are a tad soft actually. But my streets are different.

The front of mine is just a tad off the bump stops, when I got I took it in, they had no problems gettin it aligned proper.

Seems the most important thing with shocks is that the maximum and minimum lengths are correct, and those requirements will remain the same if the suspension is otherwise unmodified.

Rides good. Just bounces a bit on big bumps.
