    Major trans problem

As some of u know, I picked up a 86 vic this weekend. Well I figured I would get it started up to see how it runs, because its been sitting for some 8-10 years. Well it turned over about half a turn than clicked. Put the car in neutral, and tryed again. It would move forward when I cranked the motor over. So what the hell could be wrong with the trans? I knew it was bad, but I thought it was burnt out so the car wouldn't move.

Needless to say I need to clean or replace the fuel pump before I can get the car to start. It fires off with some carb spray, but the fuel pump won't turn, so its prob all gummed up.

The gas has probably become "sludge" after 8-10 years!

Ya I know that about the gas. Kinda expected that, but the trans moving the car when the shift lever is in neutral. That's what I'm wondering about. Mainly because I want to use the the valve body in my trans when I put a transgo AOD-HP kit in it. Transgo says that kit fits 84 and up AODs only.
