Front wheel bearing SEAL "cover" and NUT.

For my BBS, I have purchased new front hub bearing units. However, I cant find the nut/washer combo to hold them on to the spindle. For the sake of argument, Im using parts for a 2000 cv. What came on the harvested 96-02 spindles were many skiny nuts and large washers that were held together by a cmall cage thing. Maybe the 2000 doesnt use them. Napa offers the "part" but its just a large nut! no washer or cage thingie. I broke the cage thingie and saved the old washers but the whole in the middle of the washer is bigger than the spindle shaft and the washer slides around all over. I aslo cant find the dust cover for the hub unit. SO, to reveiw.

Can anyone advise me where I can get the correct bearing nut and bearing seal cover for a 1998-2002 for cv please and thanks.

Also it was a PAIN taking the nuts off and I would like to not have to get these parts from a junk yard.

The ones on my car were just a big nut if I'm not mistaken. Those are actually supposed to be replaced every time its apart, so it should be available, though its possible the new won't look exactly like the old. As for the dust cap, I got them new from the Ford dealer. I just told them what I was after, and he got it for me. I think it was 8 bucks or something for the cap. I'll see if I have the receipt with the part number, but I highly doubt I'll be able to find it. You may be able to locate it at teamfordparts.com or something like that. They usually have an exploded diagram picture with each part listed.

teamfordparts is one online seller, I got it at my local dealer though because I needed it right away. Should be able to get one at any dealer that isn't braindead. All they have to do is hammer in the part number and get you what you're after. BTW, thats just the part number for the cap that covers the hub nut, its not the hub nut itself. I didn't replace mine.
