Do you have a current pic (I assume your suspension is different now) and what tires are you running on the rear (now)?

If I might ask, WHY do you want a 30" tall tire?

255/70-17 or 33x12.50x15 depending on my mood. Current pic of it. And why run a tire that big? I go offroad and use the car as a truck and it goes where 98% of stock 4wds cant go.

Well, I know you use your car for offroading, I was wondering about this other guy.

That's not the same car, is it? Looked a bit nice to treat to a flat-black spraybomb routine.

If you are asking me, I am looking at what "looks right" and better fills the wheelwell on such a big car. The stockers are 26.85", on first blush 30" might be too big but if it works, it works. I want to set the tire size / wheel size first and then work backwards to set the rear gear and transmission gearing up to take advantage of the engine combo. I won't lie, looks are a big part of the wheel / tire package, but I want to minimize the sacrifice of running such a tall sidewall but running a good looking 17" set.

here is my ltd with cragars, 14x6 and 195 75 14 front, 15x8 (i think) and 255 70 15 rear. I also used to have an 86 grand marq that briefly had 17x9 cobras all around. got them from a friend and some how they stretched 225 50 (or 45? dont remember) on the front and had 275 40 on the rear. 275 40 was definitely way too short

this may help - this is the 255/55/17 tire I have on the back of mine now - its 28" diameter and is just right imo for the 'fatter' rear tire look, but a pricier size.
255/60/17 is also available in RS-A and makes for a 29" tire...

in these pics i have wagon springs in the rear - these should fill out a stock-height spring wheel well very nicely...

The black came after the general lee orange and the cops messing with me every 30 seconds. Paint was getting thin so I sprayed it orange. Orange looks like shit on a box.

What size are you running in front? 255/55/17 or 255/60/17 might be for me. It looks like I might even be able to run them 4 corners.

Thank you all for the help...!

See, I really like how the rear's (Cragar's) look on there but unless I can find something with a stiff sidewall (ie, DOT Hoosier dirt track tire or slick), most of them are just all season tires that look nice (ie, BFG Radial T/A). I don't see why a box can't handle like a sports car, mine is around 3500 lbs, a new Shelby is over 4000!!!
