    Painting Differential

Hey I am gonna paint my differential cover tmmrw and i wondered if any one here had any experience with it. I am gonna get all the rust off with my various methods I have found successful in the past, then primer and paint it with a high-temp engine enamel, including the bolt heads. Anything I should know or recomendations I should take?

Just get a newer aluminum one off of an aero panther, really cheap and can polish to look like chrome, or paint, but with no worry of rust.

I got an extra from a salvage yard for $5, degreased the hell out of it, sanded and smoothed the whole thing down, then painted it with Ford Red engine paint.

I did mine last summer with some VHT caliper paint I used and liked before and it hasn't chipped or peeled since, plus it's not expensive. I'm picky about keeping my car "intact" as well, but the skinny front sway bar and nonexistent rear one are places I'm definitely willing to compromise. I have bins full of everything I take off or replace on my car.

I acquired an aluminum one from a whale (the factory ones rust and pit really bad), and painted it red, and then misted it with silver (magical fairy dust). It added about 15 rwhp.
